Position: Digital Media Specialist

Location: Fully Remote

Employment Type: Direct Hire

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESReviewing current web-based products through user experience testing, analytics, and other data-driven methods to measure effective communication to audience and ensuring effectiveness;Advanced knowledge of WordPress front end functions, and associated plugins;Working with the IT contractor on server performance;Serving as point of contact for all technical issues with the website;Designing and producing webpages using Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite software for inclusion into the careers website;Staying current on 508 compliance issues, including video captioning;Providing weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports on the content delivery system and Google Analytics;Creating, proofreading, and distributing email marketing through a content management system; andAssisting in the creative development of other web-based projects that support the Department’s strategic recruitment goals.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience;Advanced level skills with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe InDesign, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and Photoshop;Knowledge of implementing and ensuring 508 compliance of all web content, including PDF, MP4, and other file formats;Proficiency with at least one or more design software tools (such as Adobe XD)Experience working with infographics;Experience working with SharePoint;Editing and captioning of web-based video content;Familiarity with other web design and content management systems;Experience with mobile and responsive design for enterprise web applications;Excellent analytical and project management skills;Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines; andStrong verbal and written communication skills.
