Field Service Technician - Reagan National Airport (DCA)
The Field Service Technician will perform field-service work for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, refurbishment, modification and installation of Passenger Boarding Bridges, Ground Power Units, PreConditioned Air Units, Baggage Handling Systems, and related auxiliary components at various airport locations.
Full-time, salaried position
This position is responsible to independently perform installation, repair, and maintenance tasks as directed by the Field Superintendent and Project Manager.
Essential Functions
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Independently perform electrical, mechanical, demolition, minor welding, maintenance, commissioning tasks and make logical decisions concerning repair and installation actions
Competently execute all maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment repair/replacement functions within pre-established time frame
Accountable to produce employee and project documentation as requested including daily activity reports, purchase orders, time sheets, etc.
Effectively communicate via email, telephone and in-person to the Field Superintendent, Project Manager, Customer, and other stakeholders
Observe all safety rules, procedures, and OSHA regulations.

Work Environment
The employee is occasionally exposed, using appropriate personal protective equipment, to wet and/or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, electrical power, elevated workspaces, caustic chemicals, and loud noises
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, bend, use hands, fingers, arms, reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, and lift to 50 pounds
This position requires frequent travel, up to 14 days at a time away from home
Qualifications/Skills
High School Diploma/ GED required
Valid Driver’s License is required
Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance and installation of PBBs, BHS and ancillary equipment
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing drawings and electrical schematics
Proficiently work with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
Able to travel frequently (80-95%) and for extended periods of time
Demonstrate dependable work habits and a willingness to work weekends and additional hours as necessary to ensure the completion of the project
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred but not required
Ability to pass a background check and obtain Airport Security Badging
