Full Job Description:
One of DC’s busiest boutique nightlife venues is hiring security staff for an immediate opening. You’ll work alongside other security team members on every shift at a popular, high-energy nightclub in Downtown/Penn Quarter. Our guests are friendly, and the club rarely has fights inside — and we intend to keep it that way.
We expect our security team to work together and to deliver good customer service while maintaining a strong, assertive presence. Professionalism and confidence are essential, as you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests.
Responsibilities:
1. Screen and pat down guests at the door
2. Maintain a visible security presence inside the venue
3. De-escalate conflicts with rest of secuirty staff, handle disturbances professionally
4. Ensure safety in and around the premises, including the sidewalk and entry lines
5. Assist in crowd control during peak hours
Requirements:
1. Must be 21+ years old
2. Large build or athletic/strong presence preferred
3. Professional appearance and attitude required
4. Reliable and punctual
5. Prior nightclub, bar, event, or athletic security experience preferred but not required
6. Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a loud environment
7. Must be able to work Friday and Saturday nights
