As a Cyber Security Associate, you will:
Internally maintain, review, audit, and enforce enterprise security controls on a number of enterprise applications
Conduct technical interviews with subject matter experts, project managers, and other specialists
Utilize provided information to review security-related controls, documentation, policies, standards, guidelines, working instructions, and procedures to ensure they comply with FISMA/FedRAMP criteria, departmental guidelines, and industry best practices
Conduct risk assessments, internal audits, and other processes to ensure compliance with our enterprise security documents
Create documentation for new security solutions
Review software systems to assess and document compliance with FISMA/FedRAMP criteria
Assist with other cyber security related duties as assigned
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
BA/BS in Cybersecurity or related field from an institution considered accredited by U.S. DOE, with a 3.2+ GPA
0-2 years of related experience
Demonstrated thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications
Ability to obtain security-related certifications (CISSP, CISA, etc.)
Experience with well-known information security-related tools (Nessus/OpenVAS, Metasploit, etc.) preferred
Knowledge of FISMA/FedRAMP and SOC security frameworks preferred
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to relay technical information to clients and users in layman terms
Demonstrated strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and customer service skills
Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work within a team
Ability to maintain a level-headed attitude and communicate with diplomacy and tact when addressing issues
