Need a cashier to Open Monday mornings from 8am to 2pm, & 3 other days from 2pm to close (8pm)
Job responsibilities:
Operating the cash register and running all credit card & cash transactions for gas & auto service
Ensuring the Cash Register area is staffed at all times, even if you step away, you must ensure someone is there to cover you. (Example: if you are doing Propane refill on a Sunday; lock the door before leaving the register).
Greeting Customers in person & answering phone calls
Assisting Customers with service drop off after service hours
Cleaning the gas station, shop and restroom
Managing the inventory of products on store shelves
Requirements:

Well spoken: Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English
Hard working
Dependable
Punctual: SHOW UP ON TIME: if you’re not 5 minutes early, you’re already late!
Minimum age of 21 (due to alcohol and tobacco sale federal and state laws)
Capable of being at work as scheduled to relieve prior shift employees
Experience as a gas station cashier or retail sales preferred but willing to train the right candidate
Reliable transportation to and from the store
You may need to do some heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) when restocking store shelves with items from the storage room.
Keep the cash register area clean, this is your space, make sure it’s clean when you greet our guests (customers)
Before the end of the shift, sweep and mop the floor, each cashier should start their shift with a clean shop
Clean the bathroom: includes the sink, mirror, toilet & walls. The bathroom should be checked & touched up every hour & cleaned (every shift, every day)
Take out the trash from the store, bathroom & gas pumps (every shift, every day)
Make sure all beverage coolers are full, fronted & faced (every shift, every day)
If you have a delivery on your shift, make sure it’s put away in the storage area after the shelves are stocked, fronted & faced
Ensure that paper towels, squeegee & washer fluid is stocked at the gas pumps (every shift, every day)
Make sure gas pumps are clean & wiped down, especially the surfaces customers touch. (every shift, every day)
