Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant. This role will involve providing comprehensive administrative support, assisting with project management tasks, managing the ordering process, handling invoicing, preparing presentations, and ensuring the overall organization of projects and internal work.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to the design team, including calendar management, scheduling appointments, and organizing meetings.

Assist with project management tasks, such as coordinating project timelines, tracking project progress, and liaising with clients and vendors.

Manage the ordering process for materials, furnishings, and accessories, ensuring timely delivery and accurate inventory management.

Handle invoicing and billing tasks, including preparing invoices, tracking payments, and managing client accounts.

Prepare presentations and design proposals for client meetings, ensuring all materials are polished and professional.

Maintain organized project files and documentation, including contracts, correspondence, and project specifications.

Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless communication and workflow coordination.

Requirements:

Prior experience in an administrative or assistant role, preferably in the interior design, real estate, or architecture industry.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and courteous demeanor.

Proficiency in Google Office Suite and project management software.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Interest in interior design is a plus.

Compensation:

Starting at part-time $20 per hour for the first few weeks of training, followed by full-time $20 per hour.

Paid holidays and one week vacation after two months of full-time employment.

Location:

The position can be remote or in-office, located in Arlington, VA. There may be some job sites to visit as part of the role.
