About the Role

Additionally, you must be able to keep track of several tasks/responsibilities simultaneously and enjoy being challenged. This job is entry-level; experience is less important than personal integrity and a strong work ethic.
You will support the assembly line, the operations manager and work on other tasks as assigned. Here is a rundown of the position:
Light Assembly Manufacturing
Perform repetitive assembly tasks using hand and tools
Operate hand and power tools to assemble small products.
Follows specific, outlined, and detailed procedures
Organize and maintain paper and electronic files
Document actions by completing production and quality forms
Follow company procedures and directives
Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace
Move materials, finished products, and packages to established locations
Report any issues to the supervisor on duty
Office Administration with additional tasks is not limited to
Perform administrative and clerical tasks as assigned
Data entry and management
Organize trade show attendance
Product receiving and product control checks
Packing and shipping the products to the customers
Complete quality control on products
Help with customers' quote inquiries and questions
Provide support to the manager to ensure information is up-to-date and accurate
Prepare Word, Excel, and PowerPoint reports and other documents
Assist in keeping an inventory of office supplies and office organized and clean

Job type: Full-time / direct-hire, on-location (no telework)
Compensation: $16-18 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm ET, at our office in Alexandria, VA.
Qualifications
High school or equivalent
Previous manufacturing experience is beneficial
Organized manner of work with strong attention to detail and focus on quality control
Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate,
and assemble parts and components that are often very small
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Must be able to utilize company software programs and collaborative tools effectively
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to lift 25-40 pounds
In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking 5-6 hours
Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screenings
Preferred Attributes
Associate degree or one to two years of relevant work experience
Business sense – has a strong business sense and can anticipate priorities
Commitment to excellence – perform duties to the highest level possible on a consistent basis
Transport coordination, import/export experience
