Seeking a CNC machinist / operator to join our production team either part time or full time.
Operate and maintain production cycles using a 7 axis (Z1, X1, Y1, C1, Z2, X2, C2) automatic Swiss-type lathe with a 144” bar loader.
Responsibilities:
Machine setup to include installation of tooling, collets, and bar loader
Load controlled programs into Path1 and Path2; select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds for each product; make offsets and program adjustments as needed.
Replace tooling based on established part counts; touch off loaded tools that have been replaced; measure and inspect finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues related to tool wear, materials, or dimensional accuracy; perform routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, organized work area.
Implement and maintain established QA/QC standards as outlines in our AS9100 Quality Manual and controlled process procedures
Identify code improvements and suggest / test updates; implement the use of macros for part families; program new parts from provided controlled drawings
