Position Overview: We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) detail-oriented and compassionate. Intake Specialist to join our team. The Intake Specialist will be the first point of contact for new clients or patients, responsible for gathering essential information, conducting initial assessments, and ensuring a smooth transition to the appropriate services or departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Interaction: Welcome and greet new clients or patients, providing a friendly and professional first impression.

Initial Assessments: Conduct thorough initial assessments to gather information on medical history, psychosocial circumstances, and insurance details.

Data Management: Accurately input client data into the organization's database or electronic health record system.

Coordination: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or social service providers to ensure seamless service delivery.

Information Provision: Provide clients with essential information about the services, procedures, and protocols of the organization.

Follow-Up: Follow up with clients to ensure they are receiving the appropriate care and services.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, assessments, and referrals.

Confidentiality: Adhere to HIPAA and other pertinent regulations to maintain the confidentiality of client information.

Ongoing Training: Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on changes in the field.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare, social work, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare, legal (particularly Personal Injury -desired, not required), or social service setting is advantageous.

Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in data entry and electronic health record systems.

Attributes: Compassionate attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Computer skills: Must be proficient in Word, Excel and good general knowledge
