Facility Support Specialist

Our firm is seeking a highly qualified individual to work in Riverdale, Maryland and Washington DC to provide facility support.

This individual must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

Typical duties include the following:

Responsible for assembly, disassembly, reassembly, and delivery/installation of various office furniture and office equipment based on customer requests and requirements

Setup/take down tables and chairs for meetings and conferences

Wipe down dry erase boards in meeting, training, and conference rooms

Setup tables in the lobby and lounges for special events

Setup and take down signs outside conference center and training rooms

Monitor/check miscellaneous supplies in common areas of the building

Maintain inventory of blue bins. Issue and recollect blue bins as established by the agency

Perform minor system furniture reconfiguration

Move/relocate desktop computers, printers, tables, desk, hutch, credenzas, file cabinets, bookcases, safes, chairs, sofa’s, government purchased standard size refrigerators and other similar items

Assemble office furniture received from commercial vendor (desk, chairs, bookcases, shelving units) If you believe you are qualified for this position, please send your resume to the email provided

Assists in maintaining a facility that is clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently

Requirements:

Ability to speak, read, write and understand the English language in order to follow detailed verbal and/or written work instructions, to interpret diagrams and floor plans and to make accurate measurements

A minimum of one (1) year of experience and/or training in the correct methods of packing and moving office furnishings/equipment, including the proper use of padding, blankets, dollies, moving carts, pallet jacks and forklifts

Individually have the physical ability and dexterity to safely lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds

A minimum of two (2) years of experience with operation of hand and light power tools to accomplish minor repairs, handcraft and assembly work.
