Front Desk Medical Assistant

A new weight loss company is seeking a Front Desk Medical Assistant to provide support services that ensure the Clinic runs smoothly. The applicant is responsible for administrative and some minor clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examinations, and performing front-desk tasks such as answering phones, making appointments, checking the patient out, and assisting in the client experience, as well as assisting with retail sales of the medical skin care line. This position requires basic computer function knowledge requirement such as sending and receiving faxes, emails, with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with medical weight loss programs is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

· Performs related duties and activities as requested, such as answering the phones, making and modifying appointments, sending and receiving emails and faxes, medical documents, and calling leads to the practice

· Check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients in accordance with HIPPA

· Supports the day-to-day operational needs of the clinic with the priority of the patient experience through exemplary customer service while upholding patient satisfaction

· Responsible for maintaining the inventory of office supplies, including promotional materials

· Upholds and presents a polished, professional image at all times, to include attire, verbal communications, and job performance

· May be cross-trained to fulfill the responsibilities of other team members

Minimum Qualifications

Excellent telephone communication skills in a courteous and friendly manner

Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields

Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to learn new tasks quickly

Professional, team-oriented, and patient-focused

Willingness to cross-train and support a small, collaborative clinical team

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
