Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist in providing quality dental care to our patients. The Dental Assistant will perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties, including preparing patients for dental procedures, taking X-rays, sterilizing equipment, and keeping accurate records. The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment in accordance with infection control standards.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Support patients by creating a welcoming environment and addressing their concerns during visits.
Collaborate with the entire dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Manage patient appointment scheduling, and assist with front office duties as needed.
Requirements
DC License: Dental Assistant - Level II.
Dental Assistant license must be Active and in Good Standing.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and team members professionally.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

License/Certification:
Dental Assistant - Level II license in Washington, DC (Preferred)
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification through DANB (Preferred)
