Caregiver or CNA for active quadriplegic woman

Distrito de Columbia, Washington 00000 Washington USA

Vacancy caducado!

Seeking a part-time caregiver, primarily for evenings and weekend, but flexible availability is a plus. Position involves caring for a 74-year-old female with a spinal cord injury that left her paralyzed from the chest down. Shifts are typically around 3-6 hours either in the morning (roughly 6 or 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.) or evening (roughly 4 pm to 10 pm) but the hours may vary. Caregiving experience or training is helpful but is NOT required. We provide all necessary training. Pay starts at $20-$25 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Duties include assisting the client with all activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, bowel and catheter care, transfers between bed and wheelchair, laundry, cooking, light housekeeping, and companion care. We are seeking someone who will be part of the family and who can help my mom continue to live her best life despite her physical injury. A positive attitude, warm disposition, and loving heart are musts.
