CAD/CAM Technician
CAD/CAM scanning, uploading files, equipment calibration, case entry, case matching, digital impression processing, reading and following client's instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Download digital scans and prescriptions
Read and interpret Doctor's prescription forms to design porcelain restorations
Perform Data Entry functions for digital files
Upload files for fabrication
Ensure completeness, accuracy, and quality standards are met
Demonstrate a high standard of work ethic and professionalism at all times
Operate CAD / CAM equipment such as milling machines and sintering ovens
Share responsibility for the cleanliness and maintenance of the CAD / CAM room
Represent the company and department in a positive and supportive manner at all times
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Attention to detail
Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with different levels of staff
Ability to quickly learn CAD / CAM software
Able to learn / understand dental anatomy and terminology
Critical thinker
Ability to establish and maintain moderately complex documentation systems
Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and quality
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1-year computer operator or related experience
Experience with CAD / CAM systems and knowledge of dental anatomy is a plus, but not required
