We are looking for After noon care for our 28-year-old son, who has cerebral palsy. Experience caring for a disabled young adult is a plus. Familiarity with feeding tubes and Hoyer lifts is also helpful.
This is a perfect position for someone in a special needs education or PT/OT/ST program to get hands on experience in therapy techniques and care, or an exceptional person who is caring and responsible.
The right person will be trained by us to perform daily routine care including toileting and feeding and do his laundry.
Since he is nonverbal, care for him is recorded via video surveillance.
Hourly wage is $17.62 per hour.
In order to qualify for this job, you must:
Have a social security number and a reliable car.
Have references that will receive our calls.
Pass a criminal history check performed by Virginia State.
Be Fluent in English.
Be able to legally work in the US.
Have an interest in caring for a special needs adult.
