Position Location: 100% Onsite
Pay Rate: $18/hour

POSITION SUMMARY: The Prep Cook helps prepare ingredients, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensure smooth food preparation during our peak season. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while contributing to a memorable dining experience for our guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and chop ingredients for daily menu items, including vegetables, proteins, and other items as directed by the head chef or kitchen supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, ensuring food safety standards are adhered to.
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
- Assist in the receiving and storing of food deliveries, ensuring items are stored correctly and labeled.
- Set up and break down workstations at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet prep needs and adapt to special menu items or changes.
- Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces during and after shifts.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices and the desire to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work well under pressure, especially during peak hours.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Previous experience in a prep cook or kitchen role is preferred but not required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to lift trays, plates, and food orders weighing up to 25 pounds, and ability to move quickly and efficiently in a busy environment
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
