Pay Rate: $12.41/hour plus tips

POSITION SUMMARY: The Buffet Attendant/Busser will play a crucial part in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient dining environment for guests in our buffet setting. The Buffet Attendant/Busser will assist with the replenishment of food stations, clear used dishes, and provide support to servers and other team members. The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and have a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Buffet Maintenance & Setup
- Ensure that all buffet stations are well-stocked, organized, and presented attractively for guests.
- Replenish food items and condiments on the buffet line to maintain an abundant and appealing presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the buffet area, ensuring all utensils, napkins, and plates are easily accessible.
- Monitor food temperatures to ensure all items are kept at safe and appropriate temperatures.
Guest Service Support
- Provide assistance to guests by answering questions about the buffet offerings and directing them to available items.
- Ensure that guests have a pleasant and enjoyable experience by maintaining a clean and inviting buffet space.
- Address any guest needs or concerns promptly, referring to a supervisor if necessary.
Cleaning and Sanitization
- Clear dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables and buffet areas promptly and efficiently.
- Wipe down tables, chairs, and surrounding areas after guests finish their meals.
- Follow sanitation and health safety standards to ensure cleanliness and food safety.
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room, restocking and resetting tables as needed.
Team Support
- Work closely with servers and other staff to ensure the smooth flow of service.
- Assist servers by delivering food from the kitchen to the buffet line or directly to guests, when necessary.
- Help with the breakdown and cleanup of the buffet area at the end of service or during shift changes.
Additional Duties
- Support the restaurant team by helping with various tasks as needed during peak service hours.
- Assist with setting up the dining area before service, including placing utensils, napkins, and condiments.
- Help with food and beverage preparation or assist in other areas of the restaurant as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks such as lifting and carrying plates, trays, and cleaning supplies.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service and ensuring guests have a pleasant experience.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is a plus but not required.
- Experience in a buffet or high-volume restaurant setting preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods and work efficiently without constant supervision
