About Mowze

Mowze is pioneering robotic lawn mowing for commercial properties. Our mowers are mowing in Montgomery and Frederick counties, an our next goal is learning how robotic mowing can be delivered profitably at scale. We're hands-on, innovative, and changing an industry from the ground up.

The Role

We’re looking for someone entrepreneurial, persuasive, and hands-on to lead the charge. As Director of Operations, you won’t just be managing projects—you’ll be selling them, delivering them, and helping shape the future of Mowze.

This is a physically active, field-based role, where you’ll operate robotic mowers, manage a small team, and handle maintenance and logistics. But critically, you’ll also be out selling—knocking on doors, cold calling property managers, and pitching something new: a robotic mowing service.

You’ll need to believe in what we’re building and help others see the vision too. That means confidence, adaptability, and the ability to represent an evolving product with clarity and conviction.

What You’ll Do

Sell our services to commercial clients—cold call, pitch, follow up, close deals

Operate robotic mowers and lead on-site delivery of mowing projects

Manage and train a small team (2–3 mower operators)

Refine operations to maximize efficiency and profitability

Handle customer communication from first contact to final cut

Maintain and troubleshoot robotic mowers in the field

Collaborate with engineering to prioritize product improvements

Evangelize our unique value—be the voice and face of robot-powered lawn care

Who You Are

You’ve run or worked in a lawn care business, or understand the space deeply

You’re a strong communicator and seller, unafraid to cold call or knock on doors

You’re mechanically inclined and like working with your hands

You thrive outdoors and aren’t afraid of physical work

You have a startup mindset—you figure things out, take initiative, and adapt fast

You’re energized by new technology and excited to help shape the future

You’re a natural evangelist—you believe in what you’re selling and it shows, even while the product is evolving
