Position Description
Christ the King, an evangelical church in the Anglican tradition, is seeking a dedicated Children’s Ministry Staff Member to teach pre-written Bible lessons and provide quality care for infants and young children during Sunday morning services and church-related events. This role ensures children are in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment, allowing parents to participate in worship and church activities with peace of mind.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
-Childcare & Safety: Provide attentive, compassionate care for infants and young children, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout church services and events.
-Engagement & Enrichment: Lead age-appropriate activities, such as playtime, singing, reading, and interactive games that promote spiritual growth.
-Basic Childcare Needs: Attend to the daily needs of children, including diaper changes, comforting, and ensuring each child feels safe and cared for.
-Classroom Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Parent Communication: Communicate with parents regarding child’s time in class.
-Event Support: Requested but not mandatory: Assist in providing childcare for other church-related events outside of Sunday services, including Small Groups, Mom Groups, and special gatherings.

Requirements Prior to Start Date:
-Background Check
-Completion of Anglican Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic Protecting God’s Children Training Course.
