Responsibilities:
Instruction & Student Engagement
Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate, and project-based lessons across core subjects.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic and social-emotional needs of students.
Use hands-on, creative methods to foster curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Incorporate opportunities for movement, real-world learning, and outdoor education when appropriate.
Student Support & Whole-Child Development
Build strong, respectful relationships with students that support their emotional and social well-being.
Support student growth by modeling and teaching empathy, resilience, responsibility, and self-regulation.
Observe and respond to student needs with care, flexibility, and consistency.
Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel safe, seen, and celebrated.
Assessment & Communication
Monitor and assess student progress through formative and summative assessments.
Use observations, classwork, and performance data to guide instruction and provide meaningful feedback.
Communicate regularly with families through progress updates, parent conferences, and ongoing collaboration.
Collaboration & School Culture
Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and support school-wide initiatives.
Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, planning sessions, and school events.

Qualifications:
Teaching experience and/or certification strongly preferred
A growth mindset and love of working with children
Are innovative, adaptable, and creative in their approach to teaching
Believe in hands-on, student-centered learning
Can differentiate instruction and meet students where they are
