A leading STEM educational institution is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated STEM Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching computer programming classes and coaching our robotics team, ensuring a stimulating and engaging learning environment for our students. The institution's head-quarter is located in the downtown Rockville. The working location will be mainly in Arlington, Virginia.
1. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Programming Classes
- Develop and deliver comprehensive computer programming curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
- Employ innovative teaching methods and tools to facilitate interactive and hands-on learning experiences.
- Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
2. Coach Robotics Teams:
- Guide and mentor students participating in our robotics team, fostering teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Coordinate and oversee the design, construction, and programming of robots for competitions and projects.
- Organize and facilitate regular team meetings, workshops, and practice sessions to prepare students for upcoming events and challenges.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is highly preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge and expertise in computer programming languages such as Python, Java, or C.
- Experience with robotics design, construction, and programming.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore and pursue STEM disciplines.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities to manage classroom instruction, project deadlines, and team activities effectively.
