Responsibilities Peraton is looking for a Hardware/Software Installation Technician to provide critical Network Optimization and Modernization support for the White House Support Staff to ensure communication and collaboration for a variety of missions for worldwide users through the deployment of computer, telephony and voice/video and data networks. This position is a critical role on a high profile, dynamic team with job responsibilities for this position including but not limited to the following:Conducts sites surveys; assesses and documents current site network configuration and user requirements. Designs and optimize network topologies. Analyzes existing requirements and prepares specifications for hardware/software acquisitions. Prepares engineering plans and site installationDevelops hardware/software installation schedules. Prepares drawings documenting configuration changes at each site. Prepares site installation and test reports. Configures computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment. Installs network hardware/software. Trains site personnel in proper use of hardware/software. Builds specialized interconnecting cables. Performs first line support for service interruptions such as printer routings, power outages, wiring problems, and malfunctioning servers. Escalates unresolved problems to expedite resolution.

Qualifications
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or Mathematics.
  • Security+ certification preferred.
  • Position requires at least three (3) years of experience in the above-cited duties.
