The Marketing Communications Manager develops compelling, valuable content to attract and engage current and potential Foundation donors. This role creates and executes communication and marketing strategies in support of the Foundation fundraising portfolio. Key responsibilities include project management of the Foundation annual report, copyediting donor stewardship creative and fundraising appeals, and identifying opportunities to amplify the Foundation brand across internal and external channels.

  • Responsibilities
    • Develop and execute integrated communications and marketing plans designed to reach Foundation current and prospective donors, while providing day-to-day communications and marketing support and superior client service.
    • Lead as project manager of the Foundation annual report and related deliverables (infographic, video sizzle reel). Work with designers (internal and external), editors, creative agency and communications advisors to review content and solicit feedback.
    • Ensure all donor-facing content (donor stewardship, newsletters, fundraising appeals, annual report) is compliant with Foundation brand and copy standards.
    • Partner with programmatic teams and internal business units, channel owners, and external vendors to develop and launch creative tactics that support marketing and communications strategies. Develop briefs and creative components. Facilitate review and production of content for various channels.
    • Manage project plans to ensure deliverables from internal and external partners are on time. Work with management and partners in other departments to measure and report on program results, perform research and deliver findings, understand and leverage segmentation data, etc.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree required; Marketing or Marketing concentration preferred.
    • 6+ years of experience developing and leading integrated marketing/communications campaigns including print, social, and digital channels. Experience working in nonprofits is a plus.
    • Progressive work experience developing and editing written communications including, but not limited to, donor communications, newsletter writing and reporting, internal communication materials, and communications plans/campaigns.
    • Experience with project management with multiple stakeholders at various levels of an organization, including creative agencies. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors (including graphic design, content editors, and video production).
