Web Application Architect 100% Remote East-Coast based 6 Month Contract-to-Hire
Modernization Technology Stack, Planned Infrastructure, and EnvironmentWe are using Angular JS on the front-end, Node.js and .NET Core on the backend, and SQL server for the database. From an infrastructure perspective, we will be using both Linux app servers and Windows database servers, load balancers, OpenShift or other Kubernetes tools, the Nginx Web Server platform, and Azure Dev Ops Server.Resource RequirementsWe are seeking to add a technical resource to assist the project team in roadmap planning for eVoucher modernization AND assist the government's Technical Lead in the planning and implementation of the architecture and infrastructure for our applications.1) Roadmap PlanningIt is especially important that this resource be able to work with the Product Owners, Tech Lead, and other members of the team to review the functionality of the eVoucher 6x application for inclusion in the eVoucher 7x application and help us to develop a workable roadmap, including a broad timeline, for delivery of the modernized eVoucher solution. A phased delivery of the modernized application is desired by product owners to deliver value to users faster than a big-bang approach to rebuilding the application. This roadmap is necessary for future planning, budgeting, and communicating our modernization strategy internally, with executive management, judges, and stakeholders.2) Architecture and Infrastructure Planning and ImplementationWe are looking for a resource to assist the Tech Lead in the planning and implementation of architecture and infrastructure aspects for vendor management, integration with eVoucher 6x, and eVoucher 7x to include the following:1) Server architecture- Load balancers
- Linux OS servers
- Firewall/API Gateway navigation (i App servers in DMZ/Cloud, ii DB on DCN/Cloud, iii File Server(s) on DCN/Cloud)
- May be Cloud oriented, but must include something like OpenShift because we deploy to "in house" traditional virtual machines
- We currently use ADOS for some pipelines, but not in all environments
- Product Development in Angular and .NET Code
- DB Development
- Deployments
- Server Maintenance (ESPT and CHNO)
