Kforce has a commercial client in Washington, DC with an immediate 3-6 month opportunity for a SQL Database Administrator to provide additional support.Duties Include:
Server administration on cloud and on premise
SQL administration
Modify existing database software to meet the need of organization
Responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of company databases
Install server software and configure database servers
Review and maintain backup processes for servers and associated data
Create accounts for uses and assign security levels
Establish a disaster recovery protocol
Provide end to end technical support and problem resolution
Schedule and perform regular server maintenance
Create database management procedures
Evaluate data analysis models and procedures
Provide timely and effective communication to customers regarding problem status and issue resolution
Develop a working knowledge and implement all IT&S policies and standard operating procedures of the department and provide input for improving existing department operations
Accurately log all tickets using existing ticket tracking software and document all actions taken to provide problem resolution
Provide weekly and monthly reports of activities as required
Ideal candidates will have knowledge IIS Administration, Microsoft Azure, Cloud Environment, Disaster Recovery, Backups and restores
