Construction Inspector

Job DescriptionFollow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.  Perform inspection of a construction contractors work, as assigned by the Construction Manager/Project Engineer.  Assure the work is in compliance with approved contract plans and specifications.  Maintain inspection records and records of pertinent data regarding equipment, material, and labor.  Prepare daily inspection reports and keep the Construction Manager/Project Engineer and Lead Inspector advised of inspection results, particularly items requiring re-work because of quality deficiencies.  Communicate information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the Project Manager.  Document nonconformance.  Provide clear documentation of findings and results.  Verify and maintain daily quantity data for use in processing payments.  Perform testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures to determine if work is done according to contract specifications.  Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.  Perform basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.  Maintain equipment operation and calibration.  Assist more senior inspectors on large, complex projects.  Responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
