Our federal customer offers an opportunity for talented, motivated individuals to support systems used at the highest levels of the executive government. The ideal candidates will be motivated, self-starters with great communications skills.Configure and maintain virtual storage clusters, physical-to-virtual conversion of servers. Configure and maintain the environment for High-Availability and Data Recovery. Assist with development of disaster recovery plans.

Roles & responsibilities:
  • Serve as a system administrator overseeing over 2000 virtual machine servers.
  • Configure and maintain virtual storage clusters, physical-to-virtual conversion of servers.
  • Work with Storage Area Networks (SANs), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and Direct Attached Storage (DAS)
  • Work with both VMWare and Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
  • Work with Windows Server architecture.
  • Configure and maintain the environment for High-Availability and Data Recovery.
  • Assist with development of disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications & requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related scientific or technical discipline is required.
  • MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related disciplines preferred. VMWare management/ administration experience.
  • DoD 8140 compliance required.
  • Position requires three to eight years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope and complexity. Relevant experience can be substituted for education.
  • Position requires an active TS with SCI eligibility.

Clearance Requirements:

Current Top Secret security clearance with SSBI conducted within the last 51 months is required.

Required: VMWare management/ administration experience. DOD 8570-compliant cert (Sec+, CISSP, etc)
