Job Description
We are looking for a Shop Driver who has the mechanical aptitude to work hand in hand with our shop foreman. Your day will consist of loading the truck with materials and driving them to and from job sites. We are looking for someone who has a mechanical aptitude and can handle being pulled in multiple directions.Responsibilities:
- Driving and unloading construction materials at job sites.
- Clean and organize the shop.
- Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions.
- Verifying dimensions and product specifications.
- Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present.
- Marking cutting lines on material.
- Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and screwed in.
- Ensuring that quality control standards are met.
- Maintaining a production schedule.
- Testing products for their functionality.
- Troubleshooting and stress testing products to minimize problems or recalls.
- Reporting and detailing product malfunctions.
- Adhering to assembly safety standards.
- Monitor inventory of service parts.
Qualifications
- Clean driving record - Safety comes first.
- Ability to work with multiple managers and take direction well.
- Previous experience in maintenance, or other related fields.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organization skills needed.
- Must be able to safely lift up-to 51lbs.
