UP TO $300 HIRING BONUS FOR CURRENT DELAWARE SECURITY LICENSE

$150 for a valid Unarmed license (yellow card)

$225 for a valid Armed license (red card)

$50 additional bonus for those with current/valid pepper spray, handcuff, and baton certifications.

$25 additional bonus for those with current/valid CPR/AED certification.

Bayside Security Patrol is currently looking for Full-time Armed & Unarmed Security Officers to join our team at job sites across New Castle County, DE.

ALL SHIFTS ARE OVERNIGHT HOURS WITH WEEKENDS REQUIRED.

Those interested would need to be able to effectively work with members of the public that could be troublesome at times to enforce the rules and regulations of the job site.

Current Delaware Security Officer License (yellow or red card) required, this is NOT an armored car license. Pepper spray, handcuffs, baton, and CPR/AED certifications desired, but not required.

Responsibilities:

Perform security patrols of designated areas by foot, personally owned vehicle, or company vehicle.

Enforce property rules and regulations as needed or required.

Enforce local, state, and/or federal laws as needed or required, within the limits of a Security Officer.

Work with local police, fire, or EMS services as needed.

Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.

Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

Be able to stand and/or walk for up to four (4) hours without the option to sit down.

Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:

Must have a current DE armed security officer license (red card) and/or DE unarmed security officer license (yellow card).

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Must be able to pass any state-required training or other qualifications for licensing, as applicable.

Must have one year of public safety experience (police officer, seasonal police officer, loss prevention, corrections, security, Fire/EMS, etc), OR be enrolled in college seeking a public safety style degree, OR be a former member of any branch of the United States Military or a current/former member of the National Guard or Reserves.

Must be trained and certified in Pepper Spray, Handcuffs, and Expandable Baton - training provided for free through BSPS if you do not already have it.

Must be trained and certified in CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid - training provided for free through BSPS if you do not already have it.

Must be able to purchase duty equipment (handcuffs, baton, pepper spray, flashlight, and applicable holders/belt) with-in 14 days of completion of applicable training, if you do not already have it. The average total cost for this equipment is $150.00.

Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.

Attention to detail.

Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft word, excel, and internet-based programs to complete daily reports.

Other:

Must be at least 18 years of age for non-commissioned Security Officers or 21 years of age for commissioned Security Officers.

Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States.

Must have access to reliable, personally owned, transportation.

Must have access to a computer at your home to check company provided email and complete internet-based reports. Must have home internet.

Must not use illegal drugs and be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).

Must be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verification, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable.

Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a copy of your DD214 with discharge in honorable conditions, if prior military.

Be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments regardless of weather conditions.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:

Face masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer are available to all staff members. Interaction with the general public occurs regularly throughout all shifts.
