Junior Network Engineer needed.
Onsite Day 1. Progress to hybrid (1-2 days remote).

Contract: Renews Annually
Years of Relevant Experience: 1 to 3 years
Role Description:
Install complex computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
Design, install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network equipment such as, but not limited to, Ethernet switches, routers, wireless bridges, monitoring devices, access points, and content devices.
Test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software in preparation of new installation or upgrade.
Work with vendors to resolve problems.
Duties include:
Testing of hardware, peripherals and associated equipment.
Independent and diligent work practices in completing work in a timely manner.
Proposing new solutions to problem areas.
Monitoring of work tasks, and reporting on statuses of those tasks to management.
Planning and implementing redundancy to future or next generation technologies in ways that meet business needs.
Qualifications:
The candidate should have at least 2 years experience in computer hardware implementation, troubleshooting, and support.
Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, and VLANs.
Working knowledge of network applications, switches and servers.
Knowledge of Windows/Linux platform operations, hardware/software functions and capabilities.
Knowledge of video control software in web and client server environments are a plus, but not required.
Knowledge of the dynamic routing protocols, OSPF and BGP are a plus, but not required.
Knowledge of fiber optic cable testing is a plus but not required.
