Omnimaven, Inc is in search of a full-time computer and network technician with excellent customer service skills. Candidate must have a strong desire to learn new things. Will work at clients' sites so candidate must have a car and a flexible schedule. Candidate must be able to work independently and be able to research and resolve problems. Omnimaven's clients are primarily located in the Wilmington, Newark, Dover and Elkton areas.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide end user support
Monitor, manage and maintain clients' computer networks including PCs, servers, switches, routers and firewalls.
Set up and configure new hardware such as PCs, laptops and printers. Add PCs to active directory.
Install and configure software including but not limited to Windows 10/11, Windows Server, SQL Server, MS Office, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS.
Create/update user accounts in Active Directory.
Work with MS Exchange/Office 365.
Diagnose and fix PC issues.
Work with BackupExec.
Maintain FortiGate Firewalls.
Work with Ubiquiti switches, access points and firewalls.
Run Cat 6 & fiber optic cabling.
Install IP cameras.
Install IP phone systems.
IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in the English language is a must.
Hardware/software troubleshooting experience
Installing/supporting Windows Server operating systems.
Setting up DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Window's Group Policies.
Proficient in TCP/IP networking.
Troubleshooting LAN/WAN systems.
Knowledge of firewall/VPNs.
Installing/supporting Windows 10/11
Installing/supporting Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional attitude and appearance
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills and deductive reasoning
Willingness to learn new technologies
