A competent vocational assistant will have a basic understanding of growth and development; demonstrate proficiency in behavior management, knowledge of what is to be taught, and facility in the basic skills. Such vocational assistant helps students to develop positive self-concepts, stimulates the independence of each student as a learner, and plans instruction to achieve selected objectives.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree and 1 year appropriate experience, or High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years appropriate experience.Must have three (3) years of consecutive driving experience and a valid Connecticut Drivers License.
