Materials Coordinator

Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals, Inc. in North Haven, CT has an exciting opportunity for a Materials Coordinator. Under general direction from the Supply Chain Manager, perform several duties related to purchasing, supplier management, inventory maintenance, and report management.Specific areas of required expertise include:Place purchase orders with suppliers;Review purchase order acknowledgements;Expedite purchase orders;Utilize MRP to assist in determining material requirements;Review and resolve supplier claims;Review and update tag information for layout and certification;Manage the process of tag disposition of aging, unusable inventory, and vendor rejects;Obtain pricing quotes on transactional opportunities;Maintain supplier quality and on-time performance information;Maintain data in manufacturing system;Update supplier information in CRM; andParticipation in company-wide material meetings, conferences, and objectives.
