I'm Looking for:

Experienced Bucket Operator

Operate 75 foot rear mounted elevator bucket

Residential Tree Trimming and Removal

Use Arborist Rigging techniques to perform reasonable rigging

This is NOT for line clearing power line maintenance work!

Some cut and throw work necessary, but not excessive

You have the option to drive straight to the jobs, get the work on the ground and leave early

You have your own regular driver's license

CDL and medical card is a plus but not mandatory

My name is Leigh, I'm the owner of the company, I'm a skilled groundsman and aerial lift worker so I understand the work and I plan the jobs out. I prefer to stay on the ground and keep all the work flowing well and have a highly skilled bucket operator that can do arborist rigging techniques. Most of the rigging we do is just a porta-wrap, one rope and one or two pulleys. Sometimes we use tag lines to help, and delivery lines to the bucket.

The priority I have is finding someone to do the regular bucket work well. You don't have to do climbing. I also have a spider lift but you don't have to operate the spider lift, as I know some guys don't like them. That is fine. I just need somebody that can do the regular bucket truck work well.

I like working with highly skilled people that take pride in the their work and at the same time I also like working with kind people who are patient and safe. The good thing about working with me is I set the jobs up and clean them up and so the real thing is you just need to get the work on the ground. You don't have to do groundwork. However when there are very big wood down it's a plus to help cut up the big logs. I have a mini excavator with a grapple and an 18 inch woodchipper with a winch that helps with cleanup but I have basic ground guys to drag brush, cut logs, and rake up so I just prefer to be on the ground and keep it simple and steady with a skilled man up in the bucket.

I also don't overpack too much work into a day. I focus on identifying the difference between, a regular bucket job, a climbing job, a crane job, and a spider lift job.

Regular Bucket Truck Work - focus of this post

Regular Climbing - Not required but a plus

Crane Work Related Climbing - Not required but a plus

Spider Lift Work - Not required but a plus

My yard where I usually keep my equipment is located in Waterbury, but the jobs we do range from Torrington, Harwinton, over to West Hartford, down to Hamden, and sometimes down to Shelton, Trumbull, Monroe.

I'm willing to pay well and I can pay hourly or daily, I'm negotiable. I have a few a climbers that I work with now and I appreciate them but they sometimes get busy and are not available. So I just need to stay functioning. This can become more full time but I really think it is attractive because you can just do the bucket work, leave early sometimes and have some time off to rest. I've learned from the climbers and bucket operators I've had so I continue to become a better manager and a better leader.
