Position: Community Stakeholder Consultant (Contract/Full or Part Time)

Location: Remote, but must reside in Hartford/East Hartford, CT

Compensation: Competitive based on experience

Schedule: Starting immediately with deliverables expected by early October

We are seeking a motivated Community Stakeholder Consultant with deep experience and connections in the Hartford/East Hartford area. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with local nonprofits and community organizations, with a strong understanding of the social, economic, and cultural landscape of the local area.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate in the development and execution of our Community Engagement Plan, ensuring alignment with the community’s needs and expectations.

- Act as a liaison between the business and community organizations, residents, and local leaders.

- Provide insights into local socio-economic and cultural challenges based on lived experience.

- Engage with nonprofits in the area to foster partnerships that will support the company’s social equity initiatives.

- Support the identification and collaboration with MBE and DBE vendors and contractors.

Qualifications:

- Must have resided in the Hartford/East Hartford DIA for at least 5 years. (Link to be provided to qualifying zip codes)

- Experience working with local nonprofits, social service organizations, or charitable entities.

- Familiarity with engaging MBE/DBE vendors and contractors.

- Demonstrated understanding of the socio-economic and cultural issues facing the East Hartford community.

- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, while also maintaining independence and responsibility in delivering key insights and actions.
