Now Hiring an experienced breakfast and lunch cook for a fast paced-high volume establishment 30-40 hours per week. Ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years experience and able to work under pressure and take direction. Familiarity with specialty coffee and tea culture is a plus!
Shop hours are 9-4pm.
Prior kitchen experience and passion for the craft is required.
This position is part of our profit-sharing tipping pool ($5-7/hr)
Responsibilities
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, etc.)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industry’s best practices

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
