Description Contact: salvatore.zappulla@roberthalf.We are seeking an Accountant to join our team in Ellington, Connecticut. In this role, you will handle various accounting tasks such as managing the General Ledger, operating Accounting Software Systems, and overseeing Accounts Payable (AP) operations.Responsibilities: Utilize Accounting Software Systems to record and process financial transactions Oversee and maintain the General Ledger to ensure accurate financial records Handle daily Accounts Payable (AP) operations to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices Monitor and update financial data to maintain accuracy in financial records Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities to maintain financial integrity Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports for management review Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards in all financial operations Collaborate with other team members to achieve overall financial objectives Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures for increased efficiency and accuracy.Contact: salvatore.zappulla@roberthalf.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. Familiarity with General Ledger is essential. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is a must. Prior experience in an accounting role is desirable. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial. Excellent numerical skills to handle large amounts of data are expected. Strong organizational skills to manage financial documents are required. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, are necessary. Good understanding of financial and accounting regulations is crucial. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions are necessary. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive company financial information is essential.
