Solidus is searching for an Electro-Optical Systems Engineer.Successful candidate will contribute to the development of optical window assemblies to support intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions on a variety of military platforms.These platforms maintain high image quality, transmitting over multiple wavelength bands, in harsh environments of high-speed airborne applications, extreme EMI environments, and a variety of sizes and complex geometries.Requirements - US Citizenship and the ability to obtain DOD Secret Clearance; Active Secret preferred - Bachelor's degree in optical engineering, physics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred - Minimum 5 years' experienceRequired Experience - Background in optical systems engineering and performance modeling - Modeling and simulation development in MATLAB, Mathematica, or similar tools - Systems engineering experience including writing requirements specifications, verification plans, analysis plans, test plans, and verification reports - Experience writing technical reports and making technical presentationsAdditionally Desired - DoD airborne and ground systems, mission analysis, and government military program contracts - DOORS requirements management tool - Optical metrology technologies and techniquesResponsibilities - Develop Innovative solutions through collaboration with world class experts - Customer requirement documentation - Mathematical modeling analysis - Develop specifications, technical budgets, requirements verification matrices, verification plans (including analysis plans and test plans) - Review test procedures and verification artifacts. - Interface with customers through the entire product life cycle - Work with all internal stakeholders to develop optical system design concepts - Decompose and flow down system requirements to lower-level assemblies and components. - Prepare and present material for formal design reviews and customer meetings - Support system level testing, and generation of end item data package materials to demonstrate compliance to customer and internal requirements. - Provide technical support to proposal activities and IR&D projects.Req 4461
