This role is responsible for strategic leadership, management and direction to a team of Client Managers for achieving assigned financial and portfolio targets specifically in our Small to Medium Enterprises (SME) portfolio of clients for Cigna Global Health Benefits (GHB) within the Americas. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong external relationships with key clients and brokers as well as internal relationships with key matrix partners who support the products, programs and services that our SME clients trust us to deliver for them. This position report to the Vice President of Client Management for GHB.Key Responsibilities:
Directly manages team of 10+ Client Managers and responsible for the overall results of key performance indicators such as persistency, revenue and membership growth targets within our SME portfolio of business.

Accountable for overall talent development, leadership, motivating talent and molding high performers. Responsible for hiring, managing, and developing team with a focus on empowering members to grow professionally, refine key competencies and developing skillsets necessary to move the business forward.
Helps to manage relationships with key accounts & key producer/broker partners in this segment in market facing capacity. Establishes, builds, maintains and grows strategic relationships with external stakeholders.
Develop strong internal relationships with key matrix partners who support the products, programs and services that the SME portfolio of clients purchase and use from Cigna in order to drive continuous improvement in Cigna's ability to deliver high quality service and support to our SME clients.
Responsible for driving team attainment of annual client management goals, strategies and initiatives to ensure needs of client and internal business partners are met.
Supports team with client and broker escalations, driving prompt resolution to issues and complaints. Problem solves, executes and helps to move issues forward in support of their team and SME clients and brokers.
Supports and helps lead business planning & focused strategies around key products critical to the SME portfolio such as: FlexAssure, Medical Benefits Abroad (MBA), CORE and StudyWell programs. This may consist of strategic ownership, implementation, consultation or other adhoc support.
Acts as a subject matter expert for the MBA/GHA 2-20, FlexAssure, StudyWell segments; ensures that client and marketplace needs are fully understood within Cigna and that appropriate action is taken to meet these needs/expectations. Creates greater focus on the SME segment and enables better leverage of best practices across sales and client management.
Collaborates with client management and sales leadership to develop and communicate a view on the portfolio and product solution, with strategies to enhance the customer and client experience, leverage up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, in partnership with Sales and Lead Generation representatives, to achieve growth.
Responsible for establishing and driving effective partnerships within other areas of the Cigna Enterprise, including but not limited to: CHC domestic, Evernorth and other International Health partners & regions (Europe, Asia, Middle East, etc.).
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in account management or benefit consulting.
5+ years employee benefit experience
Prior management/supervisory experience and/or demonstrated competencies in this area.
Understanding of global health benefits landscape preferred
Exceptional relationship management and account management skills required; strong negotiating skills and escalation management are critical.
Strong ability to partner with internal and external resources and clients to achieve business objectives.
Collaborate, communicate and influence to create win-win solutions with internal and external partners.
Demonstrated experience with consultative client management methodologies.
