Description Job Summary: Non-exempt medical office position responsible for managing surgical patient coordination, scheduling, and administrative support.Essential Responsibilities:

Coordinate surgical candidate triage and assessment

Communicate with hospitals to gather surgery scheduling information

Patient education about surgical procedures

Obtain and manage insurance authorizations

Complete and manage patient paperwork efficiently

Collaborate with surgeons to obtain medical clearances

Coordinate preoperative testing per hospital protocols

Consult managers/surgeons on complex assessment scenarios

Provide additional administrative support as needed

Requirements

Qualifications: Education:

High school diploma/GED required

Medical Assisting Program completion preferred

Certification:

Medical Administration certification preferred

Healthcare management certification a plus

Experience:

3-5 years physician office experience

Surgery scheduling experience strongly preferred
