General Construction Laborer

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Laborer to join our small, family-run construction company. The ideal candidate will be a reliable and hardworking individual who is eager to contribute to the success of our projects. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for various tasks including material handling, construction cleaning, general maintenance, light carpentry, interior punchlist work, and providing general support to the job site. Additionally, you must be comfortable interacting with end clients and maintaining a positive relationship with them throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities:

- Handle materials and equipment efficiently, including loading and unloading supplies, tools, and machinery as needed.

- Assist with general maintenance tasks such as painting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and tools.

- Perform construction cleaning duties to maintain a safe and organized work environment, including debris removal and site cleanup.

- Conduct light carpentry work as directed by supervisors, including framing, installing fixtures, and minor repairs.

- Assist with interior punch list work to ensure that all finishing touches are completed to a high standard before project completion.

- Provide general support to the job site, including assisting other team members, making supply runs, and performing miscellaneous tasks as needed.

- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, subcontractors, and end clients to ensure that project requirements are met and client expectations are exceeded.

- Uphold safety protocols and regulations at all times to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.

- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with end clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience in construction or related field preferred.

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.

- Basic carpentry skills and familiarity with construction tools and equipment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Valid driver's license (a company truck will be provided for use).

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on client satisfaction.

$24-28/hr DOE, PTO, and sick pay provided.
