Atrilogy Solutions Group's direct client is searching for DevOps Engineer to join their team for a contract to hire role. Position: DevOps Engineer Location: Louisville, CO, 80027 Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire Looking for local candidates Job Description: Seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the management of a cloud-native lab environment. This individual will work closely with engineers from client and participating vendors to ensure that the client next generation headend has the needed configuration and functionality to support both internal client innovation projects and proofs of concept (POCs) as well as vendor's development efforts. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for working with the various projects to determine new requirements and work with the vendors to come up with solutions and designs to support new capabilities. This individual must be comfortable in a lab environment and have strong problem-solving skills to analyze various hardware, software, and networking issues. This position focuses on the deployment of cloud-native solutions into a data center type environment, with a heavy emphasis on wired and wireless networking.
- Support full lifecycle Kubernetes clusters on bare metal Linux servers and on public cloud platforms; Install, configure, monitor, and upgrade the Kubernetes environment and additional services (container storage including Ceph, monitoring, logging, etc.)
- Configure networking equipment (routers/switches) and setup physical network connections including ethernet, fiber optics, and coax. Configure network routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, etc.), and DNS/DHCP. Debug networking issues is a must. Experience with dynamic routing preferred.
- Support virtual networking utilizing Software Defined Networking (SDN), deploying Virtual Network Function (VNFs), Cloud Native Network Functions (CNFs), utilize Kubernetes OVN and SR-IOV; Configure different Kubernetes Container Network Interfaces (CNIs) including Multus, Calico, etc.
- Work with vendors to deploy their cloud-native solutions into the lab environment.
- Document and track detailed configuration of the lab environment
- Support the underlying infrastructure to host cable and wireless components and virtualized/containerized applications that are associated with initiatives such as DOCSIS, 5G Core & RAN, Wi-Fi, and Fiber Optic transport technologies.
- Demonstrate lab capabilities to internal and external parties as needed.
- Plan for and produce work product of very high quality.

- Expertise in running Kubernetes on a bare metal Linux environment is a must.
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift preferred
- Experience with Git, Ansible and ArgoCD & Kustomize preferred
- Experience with DevOps, GitOps, and Agile methodologies is a must.
- Programming skills in Python, Unix scripting and familiarity with YAML
- Experience in cable or telecommunication lab environments preferred but not required
- Experience with edge compute technologies and Multi-Access Edge Compute (MEC) is a plus.
- Experience with service orchestration systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, communications and planning skills required.
- Willing to travel as needed.
- Position is local to Louisville, CO with the flexibility to work from home when physical presence in the lab is not required to complete tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or telecommunications or related 4-year degree or comparable demonstrated experience. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience with Linux system administration and networking.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
