Job Title: Sr. Manufacturing ManagerJob DescriptionThis role will set strategic vision and drive systemic improvements related to efficiency, quality, safety, cost, and employee engagement. As a Sr. Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee a highly technical operation spanning multiple shifts. You will be responsible for developing plans and implementing strategies that support and achieve cross-functional alignment, team goals, and organizational objectives.Responsibilities

Coach, teach, mentor, and ensure the development and effectiveness of a large multi-shift team consisting of supervisors, leads, and equipment operators.

Lead, attend, and participate in performance metrics review meetings.

Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to help drive business and operational results.

Escalate issues requiring additional resources to manufacturing leadership.

Proactively communicate relevant operational information with direct, cross-functional, and plant leadership teams.

Participate and promote subordinate participation on cross-functional and/or inter-organizational teams. Frequently lead such teams or task groups, especially when the scope is broad and/or the issue is complex.

Lead and champion the pursuit of operational excellence for a production team.

Possess a continuous improvement mindset and an enthusiastic approach to problem-solving.

Collaborate with site leadership and the CI team to develop and execute the plan to adopt lean tools, train employees, and track the impact on operational performance.

Have a firm understanding of all relevant sources of process data, monitor trends, develop/report critical metrics, and use them to identify and deliver annual process improvements.

Analyze changing business and customer needs constantly and plan organizational or systems changes to address those needs. Recommend changes to other areas that will improve overall effectiveness of operations and/or quality group.

Work closely with senior -level people within and outside of the company to resolve highly complex, sensitive issues.

Develop annual production budgets and be accountable for variances related to absorption, direct labor efficiency, scrap, headcount, spend, and cost savings initiatives that impact the factory P&L.

Align the production team around key plant metrics, ensuring ownership at all levels on the production floor.

Have a firm understanding of costs and financial metrics associated with manufacturing operations and build a plan/strategy to improve performance against them.

Ensure labor resources are aligned with the supply plan and customer demand daily and monthly.

Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to build and execute a strategy to continuously improve and monitor machine scrap and performance.

Ensure operations schedules are met within budget through appropriate use of human and technology resources, scheduling, and effective problem-solving.

Maintain GMP, GDP, and quality standards.

Essential Skills

7+ years of plastic injection molding manufacturing experience.

Experience with extrusion is preferred.

Experience in a supervisor or manager role for at least 4 years.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.

Work EnvironmentThis position involves overseeing a highly technical operation spanning multiple shifts. You will be working with a team starting up the extrusion manufacturing team. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $190000.00/yr.A Manufacturing Engineering manager is needed to work for one of the largest medical device manufactures in Colorado.

7+ years of plastic injection molding manufacutirng experience

Experience with Extrusion is preferred

Experience in a supervisor or manager role for at least 4 years

A bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred
