Holcim is 70,000 people around the world who are passionate about building progress for people and the planet through four business segments: Cement, Ready-Mix Concrete, Aggregates and Solutions & Products.Description:ABOUT THE ROLEThe Production Engineer II participates in the development, leadership and management of the SAP basedoperational functions as well as other digital tools available, and performance for the target Market Area. Theincumbent oversees and coordinates all aspects of Aggregate and/or Concrete site operations, ensuringuninterrupted supply of product through monitoring production, shipping, cost, and quality. The individualworks closely with the operations team to ensure the highest levels of environmental and safety compliancewhile leveraging production excellence to create superior products & services based on the highestproductivity at the lowest cost of production.Primary responsibility is to champion the data integrity to ensure an efficient flow of production data throughthe SAP system to provide uninterrupted supply of product through the system processes. The ProductionEngineer will be responsible for individual plant and production performance reporting, i.e. running equipmentefficiency, uptime, downtime, capex and trend analysis. The incumbent will be seen as an “SAP Super User”and “Data Gatekeeper” who will oversee and assist with the administrative workflow, material creation andmanagement of inventory continuities.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas

Promote safety culture through engagement with employees, JHSC and subcontractors, implementation and management of local and regional initiatives with an objective of “zero” safety incidents

Administer, promote and review safety policies, processes and procedures to maintain relevance while ensuring the site meets or exceeds all Lafarge and Regulatory guidelines.

Has ownership of the implementation and management of all local and regional safety initiatives, providing feedback as necessary

Track conformance to required safety activities and assist management in directing employees and providing support for accountability

Assist the Area management in verifying production by product, maintaining accurate cost and controlling inventory.

Validate and match physical inventories, calculate and analyze all productivity and material data.

Control and update production diaries for the sites on a daily basis.

Works closely with plant managers/superintendents and clerks to develop analytical and technical skills to improve inventory and production forecasting and management

Manage and ensure accuracy of load bonus program and manage disputes with drivers or area managers as they arise

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
