Hello, My name is Bryan and I own a Mail route in Estes Park. I am looking for someone to take it over. I can be semi flexible on how many days, but we would need to talk about that. Mail is delivered 6 Days a week up here, so working all six is an option if you prefer, but working less that 4 may not work. Again, we would need to talk about this. Mondays are mandatory. Duties include, going in the morning and sorting all letters and packages, then delivering in the afternoon. On heavy days, you may have to make a smaller trip to get rid of some big Amazon boxes. I want to be very upfront about the job. It is an actual job that requires focus and working fast. The day is done once everything is delivered. The faster you work, the faster you are done. It does take time to get fast, but it will happen. On average, I would say the job takes 6 hours, but there are days where you may be out 10 hours. There is no hard start or stop time. I would say if you start at 7 or 8am you would be able to get done by 2 most days. It is hard to judge from my prospective because I don't know how fast you will work. Speed comes with time. It takes about a month or so to train because you have to learn street names and house numbers, but if you are patient with yourself you will learn.
Mail delivery will rely solely on you. What I mean by this everyday the mail has to be delivered. If you need time off or want to go on vacation that is fine, but I need adequate time to fill in for the day. This means if you are sick you may still have to work. It is just the way the postal world works. Therefore, IF you get sick a lot, please do not reach out. We are a team up here, and everyone gets along because they pull their own weight. I do understand emergencies happen, but in my years of doing this, I am going to know when you are trying to pull the rug over my head.
A van and gas card are provided.
Requirements for the job are clean 3 year driving history, and 5 year criminal. NO FELONYS. Also, you can not come in smelling like a roach.
