We are a landscape company who is currently seeking a Fleet Manager/Mechanic to join our awesome team! Southern Exposure Landscape Management, Inc. has been creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor living spaces for more than 25 years, and that kind of track record can’t continue without seeking out new talent.
The person we’re looking for:
- Is a certified mechanic
- Skilled in the following areas: mechanical, welding, fabrication, trouble shooting, etc.
- Has knowledge of: diesel, gas, loaders, trenchers, small equipment, trucks, trailers, etc.
- Comfortable with computer usage
- Has leadership skills
- Is safety focused
- Has cost awareness
- Is organized
- Communicates well verbally and in writing
- Is friendly and personable
- Enjoys a team environment
- Has 3 or more years of experience in a similar position
- Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable through company
This position will be responsible for:
-Using our fleet management software, establish maintenance/repair routine of fleet to keep all equipment running that is needed for the next day.
-Keep shop stocked with consumables i.e. spark plugs, trim line, blades, oil, fuel mix, DEF, etc.
-Process repairs in order of urgency and need. Coordinate with outside repair shops as needed.
-Establish preventative maintenance program based on miles/hours, manufacturer's recommended maintenance, walk yard daily, review vehicle checklists weekly, perform test drives as needed.
-Fleet Management Tasks - labeling keys, CDOT annual inspections, replacing insurance cards/registrations, SMM tags, and executing recall notices.
