Busy Adult Day facility seeking experienced food preparation engineer/chef to function as the assistant kitchen manager. Full-time positionminimum 36 hours/week.
Description of Job Responsibilities
1. Responsible for meal preparation and service of all meals.
2. Conform to all Health Department regulations.
3. Preparation of picnics for outings.
4. Make sure that all supplies for snack is confirmed for each day.
5. Check temperatures in all fridges, freezers, etc., including the fridge in the OT Cottage.
6. Clean-up after meals, including breakfast dishes, etc.
7. Coordination with Dietary Manager for meal preparation and supplies.
8. Attend the state training when hired and then as appropriate throughout employment.
9. Coordinate with Activity Director for cooking activities and picnics and in-house lunches.
10. Coordinate with the Staff Nurse to provide input for family care conference and care plans regarding dietary needs.
11. Abide by participant dietary restrictions allergies.
12. Fulfill role of Kitchen Manager when Manager is on vacation/sick.
13. Participate in staff meetings and in-services.
14. Maintain CPR Certification.
15. Pursue continuing education on relevant topics.
16. Other duties as assigned and as needed.
