Description Robert Half is searching for a Senior Accountant with previous accounting experience who is interested in working with an esteemed Real Estate Property/Facilities Mgt firm. Key parts of the role include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. The role requires superb analytical skills, and the work environment is challenging and fast-paced. This Senior Accountant role is located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives Requirements
Must have excellent time management skills
Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Background working with account analysis
Adeptness in FASB (financial accounting standards board)
Practical knowledge of journal entries
Demonstrated knowledge of QuickBooks
Adjustments experience highly preferred
Amortization experience
Bonds experience
Proficiency in Tax Levies
Earlier work involving Month-end Close Activities
General familiarity with reconciliations
Tax Levies experience preferred
GASB experience highly desired
BA/BS in Accounting, with advanced degree preferred
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
