- Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Experience in a tight, schedule driven environment
- Team leadership experience in the design and development of aerospace systems
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Security clearance is required
- Solidworks CAD experience (2D and 3D)
- Understanding of applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
- Background in the Aviation and Defense Industry
- Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes Experience supporting development of ROMs and Proposals (sole source and competitive) for U.S. Government Customers
- Enovia/PLM experience a plus
- Experience with FAA and/or Military Certification processes and requirements
- An active security clearance is a plus
