Our purpose is to safeguard company assets and produce timely, accurate, and meaningful financial information to facilitate management decision-making and to comply with external reporting requirements. This position works in a high-demand and often ambiguous environment, those comfortable with change and uncertainty will thrive.Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate and timely financial reporting and accounting services for DISH Wireless, requiring the application of operational, accounting, and financial concepts within the time frame determined by management
Perform monthly close duties, including general journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and preparation of financial reporting
Develop solutions to capture financial data for unique business transactions
Collaborate with individuals throughout the organization with an emphasis on sharing information
Assist in the development and implementation of processes and reporting for capturing 5G wireless network buildout
Continually review processes to create efficiencies
Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans
Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
Skills, Experience and RequirementsEducation and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university (preferably Accounting)
2 – 4 years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or tier 2 firm)
5 – 7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience in growth companies
Skills and Qualifications:
A working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of accounting (including Journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and US GAAP)
Inherent curiosity and eagerness to learn complex and ever-evolving businesses
Analysis and insights into financial trends and reporting
Ability to exercise independent judgment, work independently, and meet deadlines; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Advanced computer skills in Excel and experience using Oracle Financials a plus
Communicates ideas confidently and clearly; effectively communicates with other team members
